Use the stable official route, not a search-ad ZIP or a Myth Games leftover. Following /full currently lands on https://edge.roslegacy.net/client/installer/ROSLegacy_Install_202609251811.zip. Keep the stable address, because the filename will change when Mirae Labs ships another installer. If a site offers a smaller ZIP, a different spelling, or a .exe with no matching size, it is not this file. Bookmark that /full address in a notes app so you are not hunting a search ad the next time a build ships.
2 Download ROSLegacy_Install_202609251811.zip.
Wait for the transfer to finish, then confirm the filename and the 8,251,115,387-byte size before you extract anything. Close overlay download managers that swap the file at the last second. If the extracted payload is a few megabytes, you do not have the 8.25 GB package. Delete it and hit /full again. A friend sending a Drive folder with the same 202609251811 token is still a mirror. Match host, filename, and bytes before you extract anything.
3 Install from that official package.
Extract the ZIP to a folder you control, then run the installer that came out of that folder. The operator has not published a spec sheet of CPU, GPU, or RAM, so there is no minimum-hardware table to quote. Do not add administrator claims, signature claims, or antivirus exceptions that the official site never stated. If Windows SmartScreen flags a self-hosted Open Beta package, compare filename and bytes with the record on this page before you look for a cleaner copy. Username is 3–12 letters and numbers; password is 8–64 characters with upper case, lower case, and a digit. Sign in at mirae-labs.com/login. Pre-register codes from older Facebook posts are finished.

Steam is not a ROS Legacy store
A Steam storesearch for ROS Legacy returns zero apps under that name. A search for Rules of Survival Legacy does not produce a Mirae Labs product either. If a guide tells you to wishlist it on Steam, that instruction belongs to a different title or to an older rumor. The live Windows build is the self-hosted installer on dl.roslegacy.net, not a store SKU.
Steam achievements, Steam Cloud, and Steam family sharing do not apply. Progress sharing between PC and mobile was described on the official Facebook mobile post as account progress, not cross-play: you can keep a Mirae Labs identity across the two clients, but the matches themselves are not a shared Steam lobby.
People still type ros legacy steam because the original Rules of Survival lived on stores. This revival does not. Adding a non-existent Steam app to a library will not fetch the live Open Beta package. Use the self-hosted installer, then sign in with Mirae Labs. If a friend sends a Steam gift link, it is a different game or a scam.
Store pages would show a developer name, a package id, and screenshots. None of those exist for Mirae Labs ROS Legacy on Steam. A listing that uses the chrome ROS mark and a different publisher is a clone. Stay on the self-hosted ZIP until a real store page appears. Adding a wishlist reminder to a library will not fetch this Open Beta.
Search ads and leftover hosts
The former Myth Games installer https://dl.mythgames.net/rosl/full now returns HTTP 404. roslegacy.com is a separate Webnode host that the live HTML canonical happens to point at; it is not the Next.js product page and it is not the download. Copy https://dl.roslegacy.net/full from this page if a browser blocked a redirect.
Write the URL down before you click a search ad. Ads for ros legacy download often wrap a survey and then a different ZIP. The live host names are dl.roslegacy.net and edge.roslegacy.net. If the address bar shows anything else after the redirect, stop and come back to the stable /full route.
Android is not on this Windows page. The phone client is the APK at https://dl.roslegacy.net/android/apk. Do not use a PC mirror site that also hosts an APK. iOS is not in App Store search. Official Release stays undated. Discord vanity roslegacy is the channel named for test news, not a third-party countdown page.
When a newer ZIP ships, the /full route will point at a new filename. Check the filename against this page or against the Discord announcement, then replace the old installer. Keeping five old ZIPs named ROSLegacy_Install_final2.zip is how people run the wrong build. Keep the Mirae password in a manager before you launch the first time. The installer will not create that account for you, and Discord will not either.
